Installation Instructions

● Always lube up bushings with lubricant spray before every run

  • Do not weld to close to the plastic bushings they will melt!!!!

● You may need to polish the hex shaft to put your steering wheel on. Use a worn out flap disk to do this. Should not need much!

Double check all 8 set screws on the aluminum bushings. Don't go stupid tight on the bottom bushing that you crush the tube.

● When mounting in car make sure the 3 inch long squaretube and crimped end are engaged all the way into the square tube. You should not be able to see them.(See picture below)

You may need to cut off some of the square tube, and shorten the round tube. I make them long because one size dosent fit all. cut behind the firewall!!! You can also adjust the collars but I like to have the square tube fully supported as close to the steering wheel as possible. If you do this i would recommend a couple small tacks to the top collar.

A good way to know where to cut after you get it mounted in the car is to use a screwdriver.

Mark where the end of the screwdriver is and cut their. File the inside of the tube so it doesn't have a sharp edge.

When mounting in the car the higher you get the bottom of the column the better. As you can see this one wasn't high enough and got really close to the A-arm. The car still had steering! Also notice a few small tacks on the BOTTOM ALUMINUM BUSHING. IT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT YOU DO THIS!!

PUT SMALL TACKS ON THE U JOINT LIKE THIS ALSO. THIS SHOULD ALMOST BULLETPROOF YOUR STEERING SHAFT!
